Formed in
1975, Sundown played the pub and dance scene around Sligo and Donegal until
1976. Photo here is from a
gig in the now demolished Silver Swan Hotel in 1975. From left to right: Joe
Foley (bass), Dick Lynott (drums)
and Gerry Gallagher (guitar). In 1978, the band would form the foundation for
Kim Newport and California.
